Christian Banerjee, affectionately known as Bane, the son of the Chippendales founder, has indeed followed in his father’s footsteps with his innovative venture, Strippendales. Striving to build a professional and entertaining empire, he has worked diligently to recruit the best entertainers throughout Southern California and across the country. Like his father, Bane has developed a strong business sense for the industry, working with top talent and providing top-notch male entertainment to thousands. In his latest endeavor, he expands the “CUFFS AND COLLARS” theme in home entertainment, broadening the scope and reach of his business while maintaining the legacy of excellence and flair his father pioneered.
With clients including bachelor/ette parties and local private parties, Strippendales provides high-energy interactive entertainment sure to bring — not just fun — but professionalism and experience to your event. We are available for events throughout California as well as Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas. Performances can be private in-home, backyard, or venue.
Somen “Steve” Banerjee, 1946-1994 — Steve was born in Bombay, India on October 8, 1946. He attended the University of London and graduated in 1962, with a degree in Business. Immigrating to Southern California, he eventually owned and operated two Mobil gas stations. After selling the gas stations, he bought a backgammon club in west LA, and changed the name from Destiny II to Chippendales.
Chippendales featured female mud wrestling and a nightclub that started at 10pm which hosted the hottest celebrities of the time, such as Mohamed Ali. Soon, he added a male dance group. The brand went national… and then international. Steve brought in over $100 million in profits during his 15 year tenure as founder and operator of Chippendales from 1979 to 1994.
